Tom Middleton

Initially from a banking/stockbroking background, Tom took the leap into recruitment in his early 20’s where he quickly hit the ground running on a technical freelance white collar desk, specialising in commercial build and house building, where he and Brad first worked together. Over the years, Tom has developed clients across all sectors filling positions from site operatives, through to Site Management/Engineering, then up to Construction Directors, as well as recruiting positions on some flagship construction projects across the country.

What does Tom enjoy about recruitment? - Building relationships and knowing that we’re making a positive impact on businesses, people’s careers and the construction industry as a whole. For Tom, it’s not about sending a CV and ‘hoping it sticks’, he wants to find the right candidate to match them with the right company for them, ultimately building trust and forming long term relationships within the industry. Tom also enjoys finding an interesting construction project that is due to start, be it with a current or potential client then assisting with the process of building the site team.

Outside of work, Tom is a self-proclaimed music head who loves seeing a number of gigs/bands across the country. He can be found hacking his way around 18 holes of golf and enjoys spending time with his fiancé Abby and their North Macedonian Labrador/Whippet rescue dog, Missy.

Brad Lawson

Brad initially started out with a national chain of car dealerships and then also moved into recruitment in his early 20’s, starting out running a trades & labour desk. He then moved on to a national recruitment business where he specialised in residential housing & civil engineering, focussing on White Collar permanent positions. Brad quickly formed relationships with some senior figures within the housebuilding and civil engineering sectors and found a niche filling senior level/executive search appointments, which ultimately lead to him receiving further business off the back of placing senior candidates.

What does Brad enjoy about recruitment? – Brad simply enjoys building professional relationships as a career, with a number of these transitioning into friendships. He takes every aspect of recruitment seriously and enjoys looking into every aspect of the process, ensuring the candidates progression, work life balance and professional environment are all considered when working with both clients and candidates. He enjoys looking into and analysing the businesses he works with, having a keen eye and strong understanding of the clients needs, then gets a thrill form matching the right candidates with the right roles, resulting in a mutually beneficial relationship for all parties.

Outside of work, Brad is a huge petrol head always trying to find new ways to put more power and speed on his motor. He fancies himself as a bit of lifter in the gym and is also keen dog walker and trainer.
